----------------------------- Instructions: Getting Started ----------------------------- 1. First, you need a Flickr username, but you certainly have that already, right? 2. Next, you need a Flickr API Key so your easyFlickr application can access your pictures. Here's the link: http://www.flickr.com/services/api/keys/ Go there and click on "Apply for a new key online now", or something similar. 3. Once you have these two pieces of information, download easyflickr from the link (http://cpuworks.com/easyflickr/package/easyflickr.zip) and install it wherever you want it on your site. It will create an "easyflickr" folder when unzipped. 4. REQUIRED EDITS: edit config_user.php and change the "$username" and "$apiKey" values to match YOUR usernme and API Key. You should ALSO change the Application Title (APP_TITLE) to whatever title you desire. 5. OPTIONAL EDITS: config_general.php has other settings which don't need to be changed, but which you may wish to tweak. Examples: the Slideshow time settings, or text strings which you may want to change to reflect your local language. 6. If you've done these edits on your server, you're done. Otherwise, upload the /easyflickr folder to your server and NOW you're done. ---------------------------- Instructions: Creating NOTES ---------------------------- 1. THIS IS OPTIONAL! It is not necessary to have any notes for a set. If there ARE notes for a set, its name will be marked with an asterisk wherever it is displayed. 2. The notes for a set are contained in a text file named using the Flickr Set ID. For instance, if the set ID is "72157603335293057", the file to create is "72157603335293057.txt". 3. Open the sample TXT file, and save it under the proper name. 4. Each line has 3 fields, separated by the delimiter ("||"). 5. Field 0 holds the picture name, which was probably assigned by your camera. (Note: one way to get these names, rather than go to Flickr, is to view the source of the Gallery for that set in easyFlickr. Each picture has a line something like "
